Current Message Series - Christmas Unwrapped
The power and importance of Christmas is so monumental to
all of mankind that our entire calendar is centered on this one event. No other
event in human history, apart from Jesus, has made that kind of impact. For
thousands of years before the event of Christmas people searched, long for and
hoped for this moment. And now thousands of years have passed and yet we still
look back at the hope given to us in that moment when God came in human form. However
Christmas is so much more than what happened in that one manger “Event” moment
over 2000 years ago. So in this series
we will help “unwrap” the bigger story and answer some the most significant
questions surrounding Christmas.
Previous Message Series for High School - Am I Enough?
Today's media tries tell us what we have to buy or own and we feel our lives are incomplete unless we have “IT!” Our culture tries to tell us what we have to look like from our height, our hair, our body, our clothes, our weight and our style. The people around us and people we look up to can shape what we think about ourselves. We put so much weight in what others say about us and in reality we are simply looking for values, acceptance, self-worth, approval and significance. This leaves each and every single one of us no matter who we are asking the same question: Am I Enough? How we answer this question is so critical. Who we get this answer from is also critical. So during this series our hope is help you realize that YOU ARE ENOUGH!
Previous Message Series For Middle School- Who Am I?
We all deal with issues of identity. Who Am I? Am I smart, stupid, pretty, ugly? What do others think of me? What do I think of myself? What does God think of me? In the next 3 weeks, we will be discussing all of these questions and how they can affect our relationship with God. The Bible says that we are beautiful creatures, that we are sons and daughters of Him, that we are loved by Him! Our culture is so focused on self-esteem. Surprisingly, the Bible says something different about self-esteem. Is our self-esteem and self identity suppose to lie in our perception of ourselves and others perception of us? Join us for this 3 week series where we discover who we are in Christ and how this truth affects every aspect of our lives.
Previous Message Series - Finger Lickin' Good
Whether its buffalo wings, Barbecue ribs, a frosted doughnut or a scoop
of your favorite ice cream some foods simply reach a state of being “finger
licking good”. This means they are so good you don't want to waste a drop.
Likewise, it is our belief that God wants our students to encounter a similar
amazing experience within Middle and High school ministry. To help our students
have a finger lickin’ good year we want to begin by letting them know what they
can expect from us. This includes encouraging them to HONOR God by reaching and
teaching other to follow Him. This also includes ACCEPTING and CHALLENGING them
to change. We will ask them to GROW in relationship with God, PERSUE
relationships with others and SERVE others at Grace, as well as outside of Grace.
These things are like the herbs and spices that make Middle and High school
ministry so good. Our prayer is that God will use these things to give our
students a year that is “Finger licking Good”.
Previous Message Series - Hot Topic
There are a lot of topics in our world today. Self-image, suicide, homosexuality, partying, absolute truth. With all of these topics floating above our heads, we believe it is time to pull them down and face them directly. In this summer series we will be discussing the "hottest" issues of today and look at them with a biblical perspective. Topics such as bullying and sexuality are huge in our culture, and in order to combat these issues we must first acknowledge their presence. You won't want to miss one week of this series! This will be one of the most open, authentic, and challenging series that Grace Teens has ever covered.
