Frequently asked questions
On your first visit, stop by our First Time Family desk and let our check-in host (purple shirt) know that you are a first-time guest. We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early in order to register and ensure that you do not miss any of the service.
Once your child is registered in our system, our check-in host will print your child’s name tag and your parent/guardian pick up tag for you. These tags include your child’s name, parent/guardian name, any relevant allergy information or special needs, a security code, and a pager number. Your child’s name tag is placed on them and their parent/guardian pick up tag is given to you. You must present your parent/guardian pick up tag to pick up your child at the end of service. This protects you and your child by ensuring that no one else can pick them up. Once your child is registered, a Grace Kids team member will walk you back to their environment and then you can go enjoy service!
If you lose your parent/guardian pick up tag, you will be required to show photo identification to our check-in host in order for a new tag to be printed. We will escort you back to the environment for you to be able to pick up your child.
For your next visit you will be able to check in at any of the iPad stations.
Safety is one of our highest priorities. From the moment you print out your child’s name tag and walk into the Kids Wing to the time you pick up your child after service, we strive to keep your child safe. Your child’s name tag and your parent/guardian pick up tag include a unique identification security code that ensures your child can only be picked up by you.
All team members working with children are required to complete a shadowing process and turn in up-to-date clearances. Grace has a Child Protection Policy in place that all team members are required to comply with. Additionally, we have a fully trained security team stationed at our main entrance into the Kids Wing to check that only individuals with a parent/guardian pick up tag enter.
The security team locks the Kids Wing when service begins and continues to monitor the wing during service. We continue to update and train our team members on emergency procedures and protocols.
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will display the pager code from your parent/guardian pick up tag on the pager on the far left of the stage in the auditorium. We ask that you come to the Kids check-in area and inform a team member that you have been paged, show them your pick up tag and our security team will let you back into the environment.
We strive to keep our environments as germ-free as possible. We wipe down toys, tables, and other surfaces touched by children between services. If a child appears to be sick, a parent/guardian will be contacted immediately and asked to keep the child with them for the duration of the service.
Grace Kids is designed specifically for kids birth-6th grade. The worship service is designed specifically for you. We want you, and them, to get the most out of the hour you are with us.
Grace Kids implements the Orange Curriculum each weekend. Kids in Birth - PreK focus on the three main truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Students in Kindergarten - 6th grade work through the basic truths: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Each lesson is designed for their specific age to help them discover Jesus on their level.
